Dan O’Donnell – Thursday, November 16, 2023
November 16, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Election Integrity Ahead of the 2024 Election
Dan O’Donnell is a talk show host, columnist, investigative reporter, television pundit, and non-practicing attorney who uses his legal background and investigator’s eye to cover the news and issues of the day thoroughly and comprehensively (and often humorously) on “The Dan O’Donnell Show” on News/Talk 1130 WISN in Milwaukee and 1310 WIBA in Madison.
Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, Dan received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University and juris doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School. All the while, he worked as a radio DJ, news anchor, and sports talk show host at 94.5 WKTI and Newsradio 620 WTMJ. After graduation, he decided to pursue his passion for broadcasting instead of a career in law and went to work full-time at WTMJ.
He was a news anchor, reporter, and hosted the Milwaukee Brewers’ official radio postgame show, “Brewers Extra Innings” as well as the team’s weekly show, “Brewers Weekly.” Dan also won dozens of local and state awards for his investigative and feature reporting, and was even honored twice with broadcasting’s prestigious National Edward R. Murrow Award.
He also reported extensively for ABC News Radio and CBS News Radio and became a regular correspondent on HLN TV’s “The Nancy Grace Show.”
In 2013, he left WTMJ for WISN and became the Wisconsin correspondent for FOX News Radio, reporting on stories across the Midwest. Two years later, he gained national attention (and infamy) for his podcast “Rebutting a Murderer,” which countered Netflix’s hit documentary series “Making a Murderer.” Dan had covered the Steven Avery trial that formed the basis for Netflix’s show, and his series rebutting it was downloaded millions of times and was at the time the most-listened to podcast in the history of iHeartRadio.
By 2017, Dan increasingly turned his attention to politics and launched “The Dan O’Donnell Show,” which airs each day from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The show’s tagline, “conservative thought, not just talk,” isn’t just marketing; it’s a promise that Dan backs up everything he says with the facts and logic to arm listeners with the tools they need to be more informed conservatives.
He also writes biweekly columns for the conservative MacIver Institute and has been published in National Review and on TheFederalist.com and TownHall.com and serves as a television pundit for the Newsmax and NewsNation networks. Dan spends what little free time he has with his wife and three children, and enjoys coaching their sports teams and listening to them play the violin.
